Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and Configuration:
    • Develop, test, and debug new and existing ServiceNow functionalities. 
    • Modify and configure ServiceNow applications to meet specific business needs, including workflows, forms, and scripts. 
    • Implement custom applications using ServiceNow's "Create Now" functionality. 
    • Create and customize core applications like Incident, Problem, Change, Service Requests, Knowledge Management, and PPM. 
  • Integration and Automation:
    • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems through APIs (e.g., REST/SOAP). 
    • Automate business processes using workflows and scripting. 
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve errors in the ServiceNow configuration. 
    • Provide technical support to end-users for the solutions they develop. 
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with stakeholders, such as business analysts and users, to understand requirements and solutions. 
    • Participate in project meetings and communicate development status. 
  • Testing and Documentation:
    • Produce and run test cases to ensure the quality of the developed solutions. 
    • Document code and application functionality. 
  • Administration and Maintenance:
    • Manage the ServiceNow platform, including user access control, and update sets. 
    • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the platform's smooth operation. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • ServiceNow Platform Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including its various modules and applications. 
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant programming languages. 
  • Database Knowledge: Understanding of relational databases like MySQL and SQL. 
  • API Integration: Experience in API integrations with other systems. 
  • Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. 
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Problem-solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions. 
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.
  • Strong experience in ServiceNow modules like Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Service Catalog.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, and CSS.
  • Good understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and integration capabilities.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
  • ServiceNow Developer or Admin certification preferred.
