Job Description

Role Overview
We’re seeking a technical Product Manager who blends deep technical understanding with a passion for building innovative, high-impact AI-driven SaaS products. You’ll own the entire product lifecycle, from market analysis and vision creation to execution, launch, and continuous improvement.
This is not a feature coordinator role. You’ll deeply understand:
• The technical stacks we build on:
o React, Python, .NET Core, cloud architectures, microservices, MQTT, and IIoT protocols.
• The AI/ML models powering predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation.
• How complex industrial user problems translate into scalable, secure, and commercially viable SaaS solutions.
You’ll work closely with engineering, design, data science, business stakeholders, and customers to deliver intelligent, production-ready products that transform industrial operations and enterprise decision-making.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ownership
• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-driven SaaS products.
• Gather and analyze requirements from:
o Customers.
o Sales and support teams.
o Market and competitor insights.
• Translate requirements into:
o Detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
o Wireframes and process flows in collaboration with UX designers.
o Technical documentation for engineering teams.
• Ensure alignment with:
o Multi-tenant SaaS architecture principles.
o Security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
 
2. Technical Collaboration
• Collaborate deeply with engineering to:
o Assess technical feasibility and trade-offs.
o Prioritize backlogs based on business value and complexity.
o Participate in architecture and design discussions.
• Understand and engage in discussions around:
o Frontend frameworks (React, modern JavaScript).
o Backend systems (.NET Core, Python, Node.js, microservices).
o Cloud-native deployments and cost considerations.
o Data pipelines and ML model lifecycle management.
o Industrial communication protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA).
o Edge vs. cloud processing decisions for IIoT solutions.
 
3. AI/ML Productization
• Identify opportunities for AI/ML:
o Define problem statements and success metrics.
o Collaborate with data scientists to:
 Specify datasets and model requirements.
 Translate ML outputs into user-facing insights.
• Manage AI-specific challenges:
o Explainability of ML outputs for user trust.
o Impact of model drift on user experience.
o Ethical considerations and risk management.
 
4. Execution & Delivery
• Drive Agile ceremonies:
o Sprint planning.
o Backlog grooming.
o Demo sessions.
• Maintain accountability for:
o Timely product releases.
o Product performance against defined KPIs.
o Quality and stability of releases.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure:
o Proper testing coverage.
o Smooth deployments in cloud and edge environments.
 
5. User & Market Focus
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to:
o Identify gaps and opportunities.
o Inform roadmap decisions.
• Engage directly with customers to:
o Gather feedback and validate assumptions.
o Understand pain points in industrial workflows.
• Define and track product metrics:
o Adoption rates.
o Engagement and retention.
o Customer satisfaction (NPS).
• Contribute to customer-facing activities:
o Pre-sales support.
o Product demonstrations.
o Managing escalations for critical issues.
 
 
6. Communication & Leadership
• Act as the single source of truth for product direction.
• Clearly communicate product plans and priorities across teams.
• Prepare:
o Product demos.
o Internal training sessions.
o Release notes and user guides.
• Advocate for user needs while balancing business and technical constraints.
 
Key Qualifications
Must-Have Technical Knowledge
• Strong understanding of modern SaaS architectures:
o Frontend: React, Angular, or equivalents.
o Backend: .NET Core, Python, Node.js.
o Microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL.
• Familiarity with:
o Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
o DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
o Security and compliance considerations in SaaS (e.g. GDPR, SOC2).
• Practical exposure to AI/ML:
o Training and deploying models.
o Understanding of model monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of:
o Industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus).
o Edge computing architectures and their constraints.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
 
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Experience working in CMMI Level 2 or Level 3 organizations, with:
o Structured software development processes.
o Strong documentation practices.
o Process compliance and quality standards.
o Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
 
Product Management Skills
• Proven ability to own full product lifecycles in a technical environment.
• Strong skills in:
o Requirements gathering and writing clear specifications.
o Prioritizing work based on business and technical considerations.
o Defining success metrics and data-driven decision-making.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
 
Preferred Experience
• Background in:
o Industrial IoT (IIoT), Industry 4.0, or enterprise technology.
• Experience working with:
o Real-time analytics pipelines.
o Edge-to-cloud integrations.
o Data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with:
o JIRA, Confluence, Figma, or equivalent product tools.
o SaaS pricing and packaging strategies.
 
Education
• UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• PG: MBA or M.Tech preferred but not mandatory for candidates with strong technical and product leadership experience.
