Job Description

Role Overview
We’re seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and pipelines that enable rapid development and reliable deployment of our AI-driven, cloud-native, and SaaS-based IIoT and enterprise applications.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and highly available, working across multiple environments from development to production in the cloud and at the industrial edge. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about automation, cloud-native solutions, MLOps, and enabling high-performance engineering teams.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. CI/CD Pipeline Development
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:
o GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Automate:
o Backend build processes (.NET Core, Python, Node.js).
o Frontend build pipelines (React apps).
o Deployment workflows for microservices, SaaS applications, and edge computing workloads.
• Integrate automated:
o Unit, integration, and performance testing.
o Security scans (SAST, DAST).
 
2. Containerization & Orchestration
• Manage containerized applications using:
o Docker for image creation and management.
o Kubernetes for orchestration, scaling, and deployment across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Implement:
o Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
o Resource limits, HPA, and other scaling strategies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot:
o Cluster health, resource utilization, and workloads.
 
3. Cloud Infrastructure Management
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to:
o Deploy scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architectures (if applicable).
o Design multi-environment setups (dev, staging, production).
o Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Optimize cloud costs through:
o Right-sizing.
o Cost monitoring and reporting.
 
4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Implement IaC using:
o Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
• Manage:
o Network configurations (VPCs, security groups).
o Provisioning of cloud services (databases, queues, storage).
 
5. Monitoring & Observability
• Implement robust observability solutions with tools such as:
o Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or cloud-native monitoring services.
• Define and maintain:
o Alerts for uptime, latency, error rates, and resource utilization.
• Build dashboards to monitor:
o Application health.
o Cloud infrastructure performance.
o ML model deployments and inference workloads.
 
6. MLOps & AI/ML Integration
• Collaborate with data science teams to:
o Deploy ML models into production environments.
o Manage ML model lifecycle:
 Versioning.
 Rollbacks.
 A/B testing.
• Support infrastructure for:
o Real-time model inference.
o Model monitoring and drift detection.
 
7. Edge Computing Support
• Contribute to designing:
o Deployment strategies for edge devices.
o Hybrid cloud-edge architectures for IIoT solutions.
• Optimize infrastructure for:
o Resource-constrained environments.
o Secure edge data processing.
 
8. Security & Compliance
• Ensure security best practices for:
o Secrets management (Vault, cloud-native solutions).
o Secure communication (TLS, certificates).
o User access controls and auditing.
• Participate in:
o Infrastructure vulnerability scans.
o Compliance assessments for industrial and SaaS applications (e.g. IEC 62443, SOC2).
 
9. Collaboration & Agile Support
• Work closely with:
o Backend and frontend engineers for smooth deployments.
o Data scientists for ML model operationalization.
o Product managers to ensure infrastructure aligns with business goals.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies:
o Sprint planning.
o Backlog refinement.
o Daily stand-ups.
• Contribute to:
o Incident response processes.
o Root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews.
 
Key Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience in:
o CI/CD tools: GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
o Docker for containerization.
o Kubernetes for orchestration and production deployments.
• Proficiency in:
o Scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Solid understanding of:
o Networking, load balancing, DNS.
o Cloud architecture design on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with:
o Monitoring and logging frameworks.
o Security practices for cloud-native and SaaS environments.
 
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Experience working in CMMI Level 2 or Level 3 organizations, with:
o Structured software development processes.
o Strong documentation practices.
o Process compliance and quality standards.
o Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
 
Nice-to-Have Experience
• Exposure to:
o Industrial or IIoT environments.
o Deploying time-series data pipelines for industrial data.
o Supporting edge computing workloads.
• Experience integrating:
o Machine learning models into cloud or edge deployments.
o Streaming data technologies like Kafka.
• Knowledge of:
o Service meshes (Istio, Linkerd).
o Serverless computing.
 
Soft Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication and collaboration across diverse teams.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive mindset.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
 
Education
• UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics/Telecommunication, or related fields.
• PG: M.Tech or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
