Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data quality test plans, including test cases and test scripts.
- Conduct thorough data validation and verification across multiple data sources and targets
- Validate data migration from legacy ETL tools to new platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
- Identify, analyze, and document data discrepancies and anomalies.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Monitor data quality metrics and provide regular reports on data quality findings.
- Create automated testing processes to streamline data validation during migration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in data quality assurance and data testing.
- Strong understanding of database and data modelling concepts and excellent SQL proficiency for data validation.
- Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data migration methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non- technical stakeholders.
